When is the right time to start something new?

mindset Jun 16, 2020

In a nutshell, there is never a right or wrong time to start something new.

HOWEVER, as soon as you have decided that something needs to change and you are not happy with your current situation, its time to take action and quickly!!!

WHY?

Because as soon as you identify you are not satisfied with your current situation, the longer you put your happiness on hold.

It has always fascinated me how often we let our diaries dictate our decision about when to start something new.

"Someday" and "one day" are not days of the week.

How often have you said

"I will start that fitness plan next week."

OR

"I will quit my job and start my business when I have xx in the bank."

There is no perfect time to start anything.

For example, right now, we are in extremely uncertain times.

Whenever there is fear, people tend to retreat and wait until it's safe to come out of hiding.

For those that look, even in times of challenge, there is always opportunity.

Some of the top companies were founded in crisis.

  • Disney
  • FedEx
  • Microsoft
  • Hyatt
  • HP
  • Trader Joes
  • IBM
  • General Motors

The lists go on.

If these founders had allowed themselves to focus on fear, these companies would have never got started, let alone grown into the millions and billion-dollar empires they are today.

Bottom line.

There will never be a good or bad time to start anything new.

The only thing that holds people back is their mindset and the meaning they give to things.

You can look for all the reasons why not to start something.

OR

All the reasons why you could start something.

My thoughts.

See challenge as an opportunity.

A chance to grow, learn and develop.

Freedom or fear your cant have both.

I choose freedom every day of the week.

How about you?

With health and happiness
